P.A.V.E. (Positive Attitude, Vibes & Energy) was born from a deep understanding of the challenges many young people face in finding a space where they truly belong and feel able to express themselves.
As a parent of a neurodiverse child, I have experienced first-hand the difficulty of accessing activities that are not only inclusive, but also consistent, creative, and genuinely supportive. Too often, spaces either lack understanding, flexibility, or the ability to nurture each child as an individual.
That experience shaped the foundation of P.A.V.E. It began with a simple but important intention:
to create a space where young people feel safe, seen, and supported without pressure, without judgement, and without being expected to fit into a rigid system.
In East London, including Chingford and Walthamstow, thousands of children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) are still struggling to access the support they need.
Across the UK, over 1.6 million children and young people are identified with SEND, and that number continues to grow.
As demand increases, services are stretched, waiting times are long, and many families are left without consistent support.
Behind these numbers are real experiences:
Children waiting months or even years for the right support.
Parents navigating systems that feel overwhelming and limited.
Young people missing out on opportunities to build confidence, express themselves, and feel part of something.
These are not isolated situations. They are part of a wider gap that continues to grow.

What if there was a space where young people didn’t have to adjust themselves to fit in…
but instead felt supported enough to just be who they are?
That question became the beginning of P.A.V.E.
P.A.V.E. is a space designed with intention.
A space where young people are not rushed, not judged, and not expected to fit into a fixed way of doing things.
Here, they can take their time, they can observe before joining in, they can move at their own pace, in a way that feels right for them. Through music, movement, and creative expression, we create opportunities for young people to build confidence, develop their voice, and connect with others naturally, and over time, something begins to shift.
A small step becomes participation. A moment of curiosity becomes expression. A quiet presence becomes confidence. Sessions are adaptable and shaped around the people in the room, not the other way around. Because real growth doesn’t come from pressure. It comes from feeling safe enough to try.
